Benchmark Insurance Company is happy to serve hundreds of non-grocer insureds
around the United States through its “Affinity Programs”. By virtue
of Benchmark’s relationship with several managing general agencies and
third party administrators, Benchmark is the issuing carrier for a variety of
insurance programs sold in over 40 states.
Each of the “Affinity Programs” represents a unique situation where
either an association of employers or an experienced managing general agency or
third party administrator seeks to construct an insurance program that meets
the needs of their intended customers. Each insured becomes a customer of
Benchmark because of their affinity to the association, managing general agency
or third party administrator.
In each of these unique programs, Benchmark works with the association, managing
general agency or third party administrator, and their reinsurers, reinsurance
intermediaries, and other service providers to assure that a proper program is
constructed. Each program must meet regulatory requirements and provide the
coverage needed by the insureds. The programs must also include competent
partners that provide the needed services to the insureds. Additionally,
Benchmark works with various reinsurers and intermediaries to assure that the
risk is borne by the intended entity.
Benchmark’s current group health “Affinity Programs” consist
of two insured multiple employer trust programs sponsored by trade
and cooperative organizations. Each of these programs is administered by competent third party administrators
that handle all administrative tasks.
Benchmark also has “Affinity Programs” for casualty lines.
Those programs include workers compensation programs in several states for
selected managing general agencies and a general liability program for dealers of
durable medical equipment/orthotics and prosthetics. Each of these programs has
unique qualities designed either by the insured or the managing general agency.
