The Benchmark Insurance Claims Department works in conjunction with all other departments, in particular Underwriting and Loss Control, to do everything possible to prevent losses from occurring.

Underwriters and Loss Control representatives continuously review previous claims and they do everything possible to prevent the claims from happening again.

Despite all those efforts, claims do happen.

The Benchmark Claims Department, with over a century of combined experience, prides itself on it's professionalism and technical know-how.
The knowledge and working background of our claims personnel is exemplary.

Our customers trust us to make sound decisions based on our working history with them. The philosophy of Benchmarks’ claim handling is based on two very important points:

  1. If the claim is owed, pay the loss promptly and fairly.

  2. If the claim is not owed, do not pay the loss.

This approach makes us unique. For many valid reasons, insurance carriers are reluctant to take a case to trial. Benchmark, on the other hand, will try appropriate cases.

A Benchmark Claims Representative attends all trials and other significant discovery processes: depositions, mediations, settlement conferences, etc.

Our goal is to be a partner with our insureds. We are available at any time, to discuss claims, anticipated problems and any other concerns.
